SOURCE: Does a DYMO Letratag QX50 have a replaceable ink
It is a thermal printer and thus does not use ink.
The most likely cause of poor print quality is low batteries. Replace your batteries or plug in the power adapter.
If this does not help check that the label cassette is in place correctly and that the print head is clean. You could also try a new label cassette.

Dymo don't do spare parts for their machines - because most of them are so cheap now that it's much cheaper to buy a new one than it is to repair them.
This is especially so for the LetraTAG machines which are the cheapest in the Dymo label maker range.
For that price it's a no-brainer - if the display is unreadable just buy a new one!
SOURCE: I have the Dymo LetraTag but not the thermal one.
Hi,
They're *all* thermal ones, none of the dymo printers use ink. When the print is fading it means the batteries are running out, so just replace them!
See the manual here on the Dymo Manuals and Drivers page.

LetraTag label makers are thermal printers, so they don't use ink - just batteries and LetraTAG tapes.
When the print starts to fade it's time to put new batteries in.
