Does a letratag label maker ever run out of ink

No. As mentioned, it is either the weak batteries or dirty print head.

Replace the batteries and clean the print head to improve the quality. If nothing helps, please contact us directly for repair (see dymo.com for contacts).

I have the dymo letratag. no letters come out on the paper. I can not find anywhere to put any ink.

LetraTag label makers are thermal printers, so they don't use ink - just batteries and LetraTAG tapes.
When the print starts to fade it's time to put new batteries in.

Dymo letratag 2000

Dymo don't do spare parts for their machines - because most of them are so cheap now that it's much cheaper to buy a new one than it is to repair them.

This is especially so for the LetraTAG machines which are the cheapest in the Dymo label maker range.

For that price it's a no-brainer - if the display is unreadable just buy a new one!

Hi I'm wondering if the Dymo pocket will take a tape, so that I can iron labels on to clothing or even be stitched on. If so what would the cassette be called. Thanks

The Dymo label printer capable of printing iron on tape is the Dymo Letratag. There are a couple of model printers

Dymo Letratag - handheld model
Dymo Letratag - desktop model with qwerty keyboard

and the Dymo 18771 Letratag iron on tape is the tape cartridge available.

The print on my dymo letra tag is very faint, how to fix?

The first thing you should do is check the batteries. Because the LetraTag requires heat to generate thermal printing, not ink, the batteries need to be well charged. Also, there is a small brush fitted to the inside of the lid of the cartridge cover, that is for cleaning the print head and roller. Remove it, dampen the felt tip with a little rubbing alcohol, and gently clean the print head and roller. You should find this will improve the print quality 100%

Ink ran out!? What to use?! or where to buy & how to use?!

Hi, the Dyno label uses no separate ink for printing. The labels are printed with thermal ink that's in the refillable label cartridge. Replace the cartridge and your back in business.

Changing ink?

I had the same problem. I just put in new batteries and it is printing fine. Are your batteries low?
