SOURCE: Dell 2400MP out of range with vga connection

make sure that the resolution matches and that the laptop and the projector are both on vga and not composite. you can also reset the projector settings to factory default to start from the beginning.

SOURCE: Projector projects red screen.

My take on this...if that pin was *shorted* to another pin in the connector and not just bent, you could be looking at a damaged video input section. The pins in the video connector consist of the 3 color signals(red--green--blue), their individual grounds, and syncing. If this has indeed happened, which is *VERY* easy to do, the projector must be repaired by a service facility.

My hp m3222 projector is not working with my laptop via USB cable

The USB connection only allows the projector's remote control to be used as a "mouse" to advance presentation slides on the PC and perform some other limited functions. The USB connection cannot be used to feed video or other signals to the projector. Refer to the operation manual here:

How do I use my hdmi to vga converter on my envy 15

You can switch to an external monitor or data projector by two methods. 1. Connect the external monitor to the laptop's video port, power up the external monitor first and the laptop. The video information will automatically switch to the external monitor. 2. If you power up the laptop first then you can switch the video output to the external monitor by pressing the Fn key and one of the Function keys, depending upon your make and model laptop. You can also toggle between the external monitor or both LCD screen plus the external monitor or back to LCD screen only by pressing the Fn key plus one of the function key a few times. Here is a list of key combinations for some of the laptops :- IBM ThinkPad = Fn + F7 HP and Compaq = Fn + F4 Toshiba = Fn + F5 ASUS and Dell = Fn + F8

I am trying to connect a MacBook AIR to a Dell 3400 MP and all I get is searching for signal... I have the USB cable connected..

Dell projectors work best with windows operating system. Replacing the projector would still not resolve the problem since it is not compatible with Macintosh computers. I recommend that you contact Macintosh and ask if there is an available patch to resolve the issue.

Unable to transmit image to projector

Usually you can use a VGA connection cable to connect your computer with a projector. They also have inputs for s-video and RGB but these are much rarer on computers. Once you have connected the projector press the key on your keyboard that looks like a square with two lines on either side (mine is FN+F4) This will shuffle through different setups (mirrored to screen, extended to screen and back to normal) if this doesn't work try plugging in the vga cable and restarting the computer with the projector on.
