No hot water

At first it sounded like the dish washer wasnt letting water to presure clean,it kind of glitched when it tryed and in the end did not wash the dishes completely. After that, the second time the machine seemed to work fine, but there was no hot water :( I was wondering what could be the problem? And also is there a test run available to check if the machine over all is working right?

If there is no hot water it could be (a) the heating element has gone or (b) the switching system has failrd somewhere - probably a relay or (c) the circuit card has gone (expensive)

SOURCE: code 20 water stays on the bothom in the machine.

Hi,

Error Code 20 Indicates a Problem with Drain. You need to make sure that the Hose is not kinked. Then check to make sure that Pump is fine. Filters are all set. Then, you need to Check Pressure Switch to make Sure it is not Defective. If it is Defective, change it unless the last Solution would be main PCB. But, better to Inspect, Verify and Make sure before replacing any part.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

SOURCE: No hot water in dishwasher or heat to dry dishes

I had this problem too, and was able to fix it. There is a generic problem with AEG dishwashers of this type, caused by the bad solder joint of a relay on a circuit board. Solution:
1. Disconnect mains power then open washer and remove the 8 or 10 screws that hold the inox plate onto the door.

2. Gently peel away the inox plate and you'll have access to a white plastic box at the top of the door where the pushbuttons are located.

3. Undo the 4 plastic clips on the sides of the white plastic box and you'll have access to an electronic circuit board. Note the order of the 6 or 7 wire connectors along the edge of the circuit board and then unplug them. The circuit board is now only held by a flat plexi connector. Leave it attached.

4. Gently turn the circuit board over and look at the solder joints. You should see one or more dodgy solder joints. Use a soldering iron and some extra solder to redo the joints.

5. Put it all back together in reverse order to above.

This is a known problem (that no one knows about).

Dishes not cleaning after full cycle running

Your screens are plugged with food residue in the bottom of the unit. clean it out. You can use 1 gallon of white vinegar for your wash after you clean the screens. Start your washer to fill with water but after the water starts, open your door and pore all of the gallon in the unit. Let it now run for 4 minutes and stop it by opening the door. Leave the door slightly open for 1 hour. close the door and let the cycle continue for 4 more minutes. open the door and repeat it a couple of more times. Let it sit all night with the vinegar in it and in the morning - close the door and let the cycle continue to the end. This should help soften and clean out the food particles in the unit. You can repeat the process and get a better cleaning then too. All the scale should be off your dishes now.

I started running the Hot water faucet till I got really Hot water then I started the dishwasher with No dishes in it and let it fill with hot water till it was almost full then I added a half a gallon of white vineagar to the water and let the dishwasher go through its cycle. It cleaned up the inside of my dishwasher then I put the dishes that didn't get clean and that had a soap film on and rewashed them with plain hot water and poured the other half a gallon of vineagar in the dishwasher and let them wash the complete cycle. It cleaned the dishes very well. I don't know if you will have the same results but it worked for me..... Hope this helps, your welcome to give it a try vineagar is pretty cheap... and it won't hurt anything inside the dishwasher or dishes.

try turning on your water at the sink for a while on hot let it run then start the wash cycle that should help. what that will do is let the cold water run out of the pipes and therefore you will have a hot water start.

Dishes are not coming out fully clean

first if the pump is running and you can hear it washing it should clean now hot water cleans dishes not the washer the hotter the better at least 130-135 degrees modern dish washers use less water than older models so if you don't get the water as hot as you can stand it at the sink before you turn the washer on you can fill it with cold water second its important that you use jet dry and if your dishes aren't dry at the end of the cycle then on most washers you can turn the disp up for more hope that helps let me know
