You dont need a modem driver ...just the driver of your network card ...and to activate the modem from bios....
also restoring bios to factory ( optimal default setting ) will fix this ...anyway ...

Reinstall drivers for touchpad. If problem persist go to service. It could be faulty pad hardware or problem with northbridge/southbridge on your motherboard
