Well if the charger looks ok, it doesnt necassarily mean it is, my friend had this problem, what we had to do was test the charger in another laptop to see if it works,in their case the charger was broken, but it may also be that the hole that you put the charger into is broken, have a close inspection of it, to see if anything is out of place, if that doesnt work you may want to consider buying a replacment charger, if that doesnt work you can always get a refund on it. notebooks generally have these power issues, try pushing the charger in fairly hard and keeping the pressure on it, does this cause the charge light to come on? if it does it means that the hole is broken and needs to be repaired.
