Try removing the main battery and unplug the power then hold the power button down for 30 seconds, if that doesnt work you will need to take the cmos battery out for a minute and replace it then that will clear the password

Are you sure it the wireless, not the computer. If your CPU and Memory are running at 100% your laptop will freeze. What are you doing when it freezes? Close ALL programs that are not necessary at Startup. Remove TOOLBARS from broswers they kill your speed. Try CCLEANER freeware at :http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/. Use this to remove the junk from your machine. In the TOOLS section, STARTUP, Disable ALL unnessary programs from Startup, this will speedup your machine. Also, If you don't have MALWAREBYTES, download at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/. In the installation, UNCHECK the TRIAL PRO version, you want the freeware version. Run a FULL SCAN, depending on the size of your HDD it mat take hours, DELETE ALL RESULTS. Take a look at this : http://www.wikihow.com/Speed-up-a-Windows-XP-Computer

Check the RAM modules ..remove and reinsert ...then check if the problem persists or not ...

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

It is clear your hard disk has developed errors.
Let the disk check run completely. If is stops in the middle, that shows their is a major problem with your hard disk.
If you cancel the disk checking, the computer hangs because some of the system files are already damaged due to the hard disk error.
One thing you can do is to backup everything and format the hard disk and reinstall the operating system and the software.
If the hard disk error is propagating type (i.e. the amount damaged keeps increasing), you will have to reinstall the OS every 2 to 4 weeks.
In this case it is better to replace your hard disk.
