I have a Frigidaire Professional Series Range. MOD.PLES389ECE. Whenever I try to turn on the oven or clean it, I get the F30 ERR message. The clock, timer, and stovetop work fine. I ordered a new temp probe from Sears and installed but I still get the message. Techs around here say I need a new computer but it is non-refundable so I want to make sure before I order.

Hello Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!
If you are getting an error code F30 on your Frigidaire range, it usually indicates an issue with a faulty sensor probe or a wiring harness between the sensor probe and EOC (Electronic Oven Control). You may try and reset your range by disconnecting the power or by flipping the circuit breaker off and back on after 10 minutes. This often clears most false error code. If the error code does not clear, most likely the EOC of your range will need replacing. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.
I understand you are receiving an F30 code on your Frigidaire range, model# PLEF398AC, and it will not turn on. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power, set the clock, and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
Hi - Typically error code F30 for Frigidaire range indicates an issue with the sensor probe or the wiring harness between sensor probe and EOC. If you have already changed the sensor, I suggest checking the wiring or contacting a professional to move forward accurately. You can try resetting the unit and see if the error code will clear. You can either unplug the unit or flip the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn on the range. If issue continues, once again contact a professional to properly diagnose the unit.
Check
resistance at room temperature & compare to RTD Sensor resistance chart. If resistance does not match the RTD chart
replace RTD Sensor Probe. Check Sensor wiring harness between EOC &
Sensor Probe connector.
Check
resistance at room temperature, if less than 500 ohms, replace RTD Sensor Probe. Check for shorted Sensor Probe harness between EOC &
Probe connector.

I am a tech and just had this happen to me, so I can feel your frustration. I have replaced the temp probe, erc, and still had the problem.
Open the back, with the unit unplugged. On the lower right hand side there is a relay, beside the relay there is a "safety T-stat" disconnect from the circuit by removing one wire and read for continuity. If none is detected, replace t-stat and voila... stove works. Much cheaper than erc and probe...
