SOURCE: hotpoint ultima F-05 errorr appears on machine

Error F05 indicates pressure switch jammed on full.
Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Locate and remove large black hose fastened to drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.
This should solve the problem.

SOURCE: I have a Hotpoint Ultima WT761 washing machine

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is normally behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Sounds like your water pressure switch is faulty. You can replace this easily by removing the top panel, the part is round and about 2-3 inches diameter, it has a thin pipe connected to it that goes to the tub and 2 or 3 wires plugged onto it. H20 normally means not filling but sounds like the switch is faulty. Hope this helps

SOURCE: Hotpoint Washing Machine Ultima WF860 The

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I suspect that it is the conditioner/softener tray which needs a thorough clean,
paying particular attention to the sentences in BOLD ;-0)
-------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-

  • Top catch- push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
  • release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit) or
  • lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
One of these should enable you remove it
(I am having to guess some of the following!)
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hotpoint Ultima Wt761 is displaying F-08 what can I do any ideas please

First, try turning off the mains power to the machine for 30 minutes and switching it back on to see if the error persists. This indicates a problem with the heater relay or heater. This usually means that the relay cannot be operated due to a heater fault and that the heater will need replacing. A service call to replace it will be the quickest option.

Hotpoint ultima wt761 working fine one day, the next just dead as a dodo, no lights, noises, nothing, tried changing fuse, still nothing

These units have a cut out swich, that is thermaly activated, unplug and check the back of the machine, you may find a red reset button, i havent looked at this model, so it could be hidden under a backplate, also is may only have the replacable cutout, you will recognise it by its button sized, silver in colour, with two leads pushed onto its spades.
Warning if it was this then it overheated, so clean all fillters befor operation.

Wt761

The first thing to check here is by opening up the top of your washer. Plug off the mains. Check to see the wires are connected to the inlet valve at the point where the water enters your machine, tighten the wires. Then shut off the wall faucet, unscrew the hoses, check the fine mesh at the machine valve entrance, clean out. Refit the hoses carefully without cross threading, open the wall faucet full to check for leaks; advisable to keep faucet fully open. Check to see that there is no leak at the dispenser end of the pipes. You are done now, try the machine (with the top open, caution)

If there is still no water, just change the inlet water valve, you can do it yourself.
