Move the feeler arm above the ice bin to the up(off) position.

Ice maker won't shut off

Ice Maker Doesn't Turn Off If your ice maker keeps making ice, even when it is full:
1Lift the bail wireto shut off the ice maker, and remove the ice bin. Then, using a screwdriver if necessary, remove the ice maker, clean it thoroughly, and then reinstall it.
2If the problem persists, consider removing and replace the entire ice maker and valve. With this type of problem, you can have it repaired, but it's often wiser and less expensive in the long run to replace the unit entirely.

Ge fridge is not making ice at all

Make sure the wire arm is in the down position. If it is in the up position this signals the icemaker that the bin is full and icemaker shutsn off. Hope this helps.

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator with an ice maker and when the icemaker is filling with water it leaks from the front of the tray into the ice storage bin.

1. icemaker is not level. (check and re-level)
2. icemaker has a crack in the mold.(replace i/m)
3. Water level set too high.(remove front cover and adjust water level screw counterclockwise)

GE PSS26GRE SS not dispensing ice

Hi,
The first step you need to do is to turn the water off to the refrigerator so it quits making until you get it fixed.
If your fridge has the control boards in each side of the freezer cabinet that controls the icemaker, then you have a failed board. If you have a standard icemaker with the metal shutoff arm then you have a failed motor module in the icemaker. You can remove the icemaker and unplug the wiring connector from it so you can leave the water on to the dispenser.

Icemaker will not was dispense ice

My icemaker stopped producing ice. We turned off the water line to it when we went on vacation for a week. We turned the water back on when we got home and since that time it won't produce ice. We can still get water from the door dispenser though.
