Move the feeler arm above the ice bin to the up(off) position.

well if you trouble shoot the board at the back to see if you are getting voltage if you are then use a jumper on that conenctor and see if the auger motor runs or remove auger motor and check voltage there while pressing the lever for ice usually 100% of the time that board controls everyhting water and ice

theres whats called a cam inside of the ice maker and that is more than like;ly the problem. you can but your own ice maker from place like first service. good luck.

I would suggest fixing it . You only have 2 parts in the defrost system . A timer , and the defrost heater which comes with the bimetal , pt . # WR51X10031 .Most probable , is the defrost heater . You will need to remove the rear inside freezer panel , and defrost the coils with a hair dryer . After defrosting , 2 screws hold each ( 2 ) heater on , ant the defrost thermostat , just clips onto the top of the coils .

This is a quick guess. Look at the top of the ice bin. Many refrigerators stop the ice maker with a wire bale that rides up on the ice. Raise the bale and it should latch in place above the ice and shut off the icemaker.

Ice makers make ice until the ice bin is full, and as you use the ice, it replaces what is used. This is accomplished by a wire that measures the amount of ice in the bin. The wire moves up and drops the ice and then moves down to measure the ice. If the bin is full, the wire will be held in the "up" position which turns the ice maker off. You can manually lock the wire in the up position and it will never make ice. Releasing the wire will start the ice making process.

I have a GE model TPX 24BPBA WW and have a water leak on my floor. I disconnected the icemaker water feed and leak stopped. What's wrong

do you live in an area where there are rodents such as mice ? if yes there is a possibility that they have eaten the plastic water line that feeds from the ice maker water valve to the ice maker itself . when they get thirsty you would be surprised what they will actually chew through to get water. regardless the cause, you probably have a broken water line between the ice maker water valve and ice maker unit .

This could be the cradle switch or the main board. When the cradle in to dispense watch the lights on the display if they go off it's the main board.

After 2yrs of not using the icemaker, moved

Good day,
Pour water from small paper cup until it near fills the well of the ice maker. With the lever down, close freezer door and wait 2 to 3 hours. If it dumps then the ice maker should be good, if not, replace ice maker.
If dumps O.K. then the dual water valve is bad, and needs replaced.
You should check the fill tube that runs from the back of the machine to see if it is blocked with ice. (requires removing ice maker) but even so, if it is iced, you'll need to clear, but the water valve in the back rear of the machine is leaking and still needs replaced.

Ice maker problem

try turning down your water inlet pressure go about half way and play with it from there also check the tube going to the icemaker to put water in the maker make sure it is all the way into the ice maker
