Sony TV worked fine then goes blank with no sound. Red led blinks once followed by relay clicking once and keeps repeating.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication. You can get an idea about the faulty stage circuit inside the TV, by the number of these blinks. Count it carefully, by switching it ON and OFF, more than 2 times at least, so that, you can make sure about the number of these blinks. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. Surf the site in "MOSAIC" view.

First, unplug the tv set for 30 seconds, plug back in and try ti turn on.. Second, If you're NOT still under warranty you should at least open the TV and look for a blown fuse near where the power cable enters the set. A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs. You can also check the board where the components are mounted and resoled any that look bad. Brief power outages may cause the TV not to turn on. If you are using a surge protector, try connecting the set directly to the wall outlet. In your case it could caused by a blown fuse, a leaky diodes or a bad solder joint at the horizontal drive transformer. All can be replaced at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace If this does not correct the problem, you may need to have your TV serviced. good luck!

First thing to do is reset ( see link below) and see if it resets otherwise if problem continues it will need some work
Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits. There are some common breakdowns in the High Voltage circuits in this set. One is the flyback transformer. Another is a small high voltage capacitor in the sweep corrction circuit. There is a cap that goes open in a high voltage circuit (C6532) which needs to be replaced.

The 4 blinks means that + 12 volts are not supplied or IC561 is defective.
If you measure for +12V at pin # 2 of IC561 and if that is present, it means that IC561 is defective and will need to be replace.
The IC Sony part # is 8-759-696-71 or you can get a STV9379.
Good luck and let me know if you need further assistance.

I will look up your specific model to be sure, but teh 3 blinks usually mean a power supply problem. Stay tuned for more...

Five blinks - AKB
circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks
for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function.
Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761
and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on
the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning
up screen A2 slightly.
