I have a Sony KV-27FS100 TV that has sound and no picture. The indicator LED blinks continuously after the power button is pressed and the sound of the first relay clicks. After a few seconds the second relay clicks and the indicator flashes 4 times then repeats. I have no picture, but I do have sound and can change channels.
I replaced the two relays on a guess. It did nothing to help. I am an electronics hobbyist so I know my way around a soldering iron. I can replace a circuit component, but don’t know trouble shooting beyond a point to point voltage check with a DVM. What does the 4 blink code mean? Does anyone have a schematic with voltage points? Any other suggestions?
The 4 blinks means that + 12 volts are not supplied or IC561 is defective.
If you measure for +12V at pin # 2 of IC561 and if that is present, it means that IC561 is defective and will need to be replace.
The IC Sony part # is 8-759-696-71 or you can get a STV9379.
Good luck and let me know if you need further assistance.
Check Horizontal Output Transistor, if found bad / short, replace it.
