I just had this problem. The plastic back of the TV has a grated opening directly in the middle and towards the top of the TV. There is a fan directly behind. The grated opening was full of dust so air couldn't pass easily. I simply vacuumed the dust. I went the extra step and removed the whole back of the TV and vacuumed the entire space.
I assume the internal temperature exceeded its maximum so the TV turned it self off. Cooled enough to try a restart, heated up, ...

Sounds like there is a short on the power board or the power board has gone faulty.

Most likely this is caused by a defective main board. Changing the main board will fix the issue about 95% of the time.
To be absolutely sure, the voltages need to be checked on the power supply. If they are not the values listed in the service manual, then you should replace the power supply instead (accounts for the other 5% of the time).

The red light doesnt bilnk at all, the power light comes on then goes off straight away, its like there is a microswitch somewhere that doesnt connect
