Wont switch on properly

Cant get my goodmans mp3 player to switch on properly. it comes up on the screen with goodmans then just a yellow circle! its a gmp34g9 if anyone can help it would be great not had one before so would be nice if i could use it! help

No picture on screen

Hi . This can probably solve your problem:
Follow the steps
01. Sansa player freezes on the “Refreshing Database” screen STEP 1 – Reset the device
  1. Slide the Power switch up and hold it for approximately 20 seconds.
  2. Release the Power switch once the device is powered down.
  3. Turn the device back on.
STEP 2 – Download and Install the Sansa Firmware Updater.

Yellow circle..

No worries. Instead of going to the default "Music" menu, you must have shut off your player when you were in the "Now Playing" menu. Just press the "menu" button to go to the main menu, and go from there.
