    Goodmans GMP31000DRM

More or less the same problem. Switches on, but 'no files'. Cannot access the thing via my computer. I have taken the battery out several times, but nothing helps.

    How do I reset it?

Look at the top of the unit. There is a small silver dot. This is the reset button.Push on it with a pin head or a stylus. It will return the screen to the main menu. Hope this helps.

I am not sure what happened but my daughter was pressing buttons and now my mp3 player is frozen and I cant even charge it. I cant turn it off and my pc doesnt even recognize it when i turn it on. What do...

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

It froze

i found that if you reset it with a needle on the top of the mp3 player it shuts it down. give it a minute or so and turn it back on...the reset button on this has become my new best friend.

Frozen! Help pleaseeee!

While it's on the SAMSUNG screen, hold down the reset hold for 10 secs until it shuts off.
If it doesn't work, try resetting it while it's connected to the PC.

The reset button is the tiny hole on the top of the player to the left of the volume wheel. Use a paper clip to stick in the hole and push in the reset button for a second. Your screen should turn black and then turn off. Hopefully that will work!
