These blinks (flashes) are fault indication. By the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. Count the blinks occur at one time switch ON, carefully. Do it once again, and make sure about the number of blinks. If the flashes are continious, non-stop, the main system control IC should be suspected. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. It has blinking codes detail to many brand TVs. SOURCE: Blinking Red Standby Light - No picture

The six blinks indicates that an internal fan is either bad ot blocked by dust or debris, You should be able to look in the back of the unit and see some cooling fans. Chances are one on them is not turning and will need to be replaced

I had this same exact issue. Panasonic sent a repair tech to my house since I was still under warranty. The tech was able to fix me up in about 10 minutes. He replaced the "brain" or A-board and now I'm back in business. This is NOT a power supply issue. The brain is the circuit board that has all the inputs attached to it (component, hdmi, etc...).

YOU MUST BRING THIS TV TO A REPAIR CENTER EXPECT AT LEASE 450,00 AND MAYBE MUCH MORE THERE MAIN PROBLEME IS SC BOARD AND OFTEN SD SU AND WORSE PANEL !!

Same issue with - Panasonic TH-50PX70A , power UP with red standby, then power ON by remote - only Gives GREEN led blinking 35-40 times, followed by solid green led with no no picture no sound.
>> Solution; unplug Plasma from AC 10-15min, then plug in & power on to Red standby led,, At this point - Power ON tv while holding down both -Volume Down and F (function Select) buttons (front panel door) at the same time turns picture ON,all ok.
