Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
I have a Mitsubishi WD52525 and the lamp indicator turned red. I ordered a new lamp from Mitsubishi and was able to easily install it. I received the same result with the lamp indicator. I was able to see the old and new lamp turn on for a few seconds before going black before the indicator turned red. I sent the new lamp back to Mitsubishi and received my money back as it is supposedly defective. I'm wondering if I should try 1 more lamp or just consider the TV dead as I do not want to spend over $200 to fix a TV. Thanks for any assistance
Its much more likely that your getting a 34 error which is a lamp abnormality vaused by defective capacitors on the power board. You can get the V26 DLP power PWB repair kit at the following link that should repair the issue. Chances are your old lamp is still good.
