I will list the steps that will allow you to scan your photos.
1. Turn on your computer, let it bootup, then turn on your printer.
2. Locate the "HP Imaging Director" icon on your computer ( placed there when your printer was
installed on your computer), double click it and a screen will appear which shows the scanning
options of your printer.
3. Lift the printer's lid and place a photo on the glass top.
4. Click "Scan Picture" from the scanning menu.
5. The scanning lamp will come on and make one pass under the photo, as this is happening,
your photo will appear on your monitor, allowing you to see the scanning result.
At this time, you can make adjustments, if you wish, to the scanned photo or accept it as is.
6. Click the "Accept" button and the scanning lamp will make a final pass under the photo.
7. The photo can be seen in the HP Photo Gallery or your computer's My Picture folder.
Although different scanner has different option still I am giving you the general method of scanning.
Put the photo on the scanner (photo face down touching the glass of the scanner) - look the cover is perfectly placed and no light is entering inside of the scanner. Now run the scanner software - select scan item as "Photo" (other options are text or documents etc), select the option "Color" (other option is Black and white or gray ). Select the resolution more than 200 dpi (more dpi will give better output), give path where the file will be saved after scanning or keep it default, choose the file type JPEG is better (other options may be BMP, TIF etc). First you get preview - look the expected scan output - if required you adjust or lace the photo on the scanner better way - then again get preview - if you are satisfied you may select the portion out of the whole preview page for scanning - now click scan. It will give JPEG file in the specified location.
That's because it's not a printer problem. The scan options are in your computer in the scanning software for your machine. Before you can scan you need to be connected to your computer with scan software running to tell it how to scan, what you're scanning, and where to send and save the image you scan.
your are scanning a photo???not documment?? try to scan photo in your scanner menu make sure scan photo is the one you will choose not scan document...some scanners have that options...
slide scan is not an option on that model. slide scanner is an option in some models of scanners. I have a HP one as most HP scanners have the setting built into the scan firmware that lowers and higher the light to get correct scan. brother model will not do this its just normal scan setting.
Well I haven't necessarily scanned often, but i do know if you open up a program such as word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Corel, etc... You are given an option to scan. That way you can scan information, images and such to that program in which you use. C2424 wont give you any support because its a primary printer but the drivers should include drivers for the scanner and the computer to interconnect. If you have any photo like software on your mac. Try looking at the options at your top menu for an option or "import" Many times it will give you the option to scan from a device.
To scan to computer its software based. Also on the Panel on the printer you should be given an option to scan. If printer is connected by USB it will be easier to detect scans from panel, but if your printer is connected via Ethernet it will be different.
I hope this helps. Try using a program that you can use to edit pictures or display. You should be given an option.
I hope this helps. Let me know what you do? and possibly i can mirror what you do on my own mac
The mounted slide scanning option is set for scanning 35mm mounted slides (24mm x 36mm). As far as I know there is no way to change this setting. You may want to try using the film scan option, do a preview scan, and then crop each individual slide for the final scan.
I just went to www.hp.com and typed in "no scan options" in their search field at the top of the screen. You can find even more help though if you drill down through your specific product.
That is the front panel options you get to see in the All-In-One screen, That states that you can scan and save it to these options Outlook is to scan and send as email Microsoft word is installed by default with Microsoft office Try scanning you will see a word window popping-up as soon as it has completed scanning HP Photo View Center is a HP Software application where you can edit the scanned image and do some creative arts for pictures. I.R.I.S.read iris is to scan and edit documents (you can try scanning a document to this. If in addition if you had Adobe installed you would get another option as to scan to PDF
