Two things, First you need to replace all of the capacitors on the power supply board at the same time even if they do not show signs of failure because they have been under stress. Secondly, you need to use the correct ratings on the capacitors not just the mfd and voltage. Parts from Radio Shack and such will not work right and can cause additional damage to the power supply board. Try Checking All The Cords
If It Works Out Ok Then Go To Your Monitors Menu Or OSD And Select RGB Or Colour
Play Around With Those Settings And See If It Makes A Difference

go to http://www.Lg.com support drivers you need to check for you model make serial and windows tipe if you can not get it from there you can go to http://www.driversguide.com fill out the registration and go to the LG monitor and look for your model serial and windows system

Try hooking the monitor up to another computer to see if the symptom remains the same if it does you might be needing a new monitor

Doesn't look very good :( You can try returning to the "factory settings" in your monitor's menu. Maybe try the monitor in another computer to check whether your graphics card is faulty. But all in all it looks like a fault from the monitor :( Good Luck!
