Hi There, 99 times out of 100 this is due to the exhaust filter being too blocked for the air to actually get through. What happens is that the pressure in the motor increases and effectively blows the filter and filter cage clean off. If you have a look at the underside of the filter I would bet that it is very dirty and you will need to buy a new hepa filter

Thank you for your help. I washed it and then noticed on the side it says not washable so I ordered a new one. I was hoping that would do the trick, now I'm more confident.

Got a new dyson 25 motor filter and it won't stay in, keeps popping out

Usually if it latches in ok but pops out when the vacuum is turned on it indicates the filter is clogged and the air pressure pops it out. If a new filter pops out it may indicate a defective or poor quality filter.

Heppa filter pops off when I turn the vacuum on

Did you replace the exhaust air diffuser? That's the plastic type vent housing the hepa filter was under.

Hi My Hoover wind tunnel cyclonic stopped working when i was using it. I tried different plug even then it doesnt work . What to do??

If the motor stopped running, it most likely did because it was not being cooled, becuause something was stopping up the air flow. If you have cleaned the secondary filter out and it still stops while running, then remove the exhaust filter cartridge and try it then. If it does not stop running now, then the problem is the previous models like this had a foam filter as the exhaust filter, not a heppa cartridge filter. You will not hurt the machine by running it without the heppa cartridge. Cut a foam filter to fit to replace it. I do not think Hoover knows this yet.

I have a customer working on this problem today (Sept 2010) I have repaired machines for 30 years. This filter is meant to just catch the tiny particles from getting back into the air. However, it worked fine on the previous machines with the foam filter here instead of this Heppa cartridge.

My Fantom Cyclone keeps turning off after 10 minutes of use. I will then let it sit for a few hours and then I can use it again for 10 mintues.

You may need to clean some internal filters. The one above the motor, just below the dust cup and maybe the exhaust filter

Water leaking from out of the heppa filter

Reasons for that to happen:
a) You have tilted the vac while vacuuming
b) Used the Rainbow without separator (basket like thing on the bottom of the motor)
c) Overfilled the rainbow tank with water (may have happened when shampooing with AquaMate)

Clean and install back the separator, remove HEPA, Set the Rainbow on empty water pan (with HEPA removed) turn it on for a while so everything will dry. Install new HEPA.

You will have to get a new HEPA filter (you can find them HERE)

Good Luck,
Rocky

Loss of suction bissell vacume

that is normal for the vacume to shut off if the motor overheats you must keep teh dirt cup clean and empty and all the filters clean, when you empty the dirt cup if you have a lot of pet hair take the hose off and make sure that it is clean as well, and do not try to pick up any of those cleaning wipes that will stop it up real quick
