You turn on the TV, the green light flashes 3 times, then flashes three times again. It turns on great picture, you can open the menu, change sound up or down or mute it. Then about 15 seconds later you cannot control any options. You can only use the cable box to change the channels. Then if you what to change the imputes you must shut TV off, its about 20 seconds for it to shut off, turn it back on and change the imputes. tried a new motherboard and a ir sensor, still does the same thing. TV is two years old. Help me. Ronnie

SOURCE: yellow light blinking - blank screen - won't turn on

The problem is with the signal board. Basically, it is not allowing the power signal to go from the on button from the set or the remote to the TV. I am having the exact same problem with my 42" LCD Regza. Currently, if you are under warranty, Toshiba does not have these in stock. They will not have them available to send until early January. My TV has been at the repair shop since December 4th. I am very upset as I won't be able to watch the bowl games in HD. If your set is still under warranty then call Toshiba help line at 800-575-5469. You will need the model number of yout TV that is listed on the front of the owner's manual. They are:
27HL67
32HL67
32HL67U
37HL67
42HL67

The first number will be the giveaway as to which model you have. It is the size of your set. They will ask you to try a hard reset. (Hold pwer button down for 5 seconds until you see the yellow light go solid and go off.) This will most likely not work. If it does, you are lucky. I found that if you unplug the TV for an extened period of time, ie overnight, ity may come back on. It will eventually give out completely though. Better to get the problem addressed with the manufacturer. If you are not under warranty then I do not know what to tell you. Right now I am searching the internet to see if I can find this part to maybe purchase myself. Only if it is not too costly. If I find anything I will post here for all. If you have any questions, feel free to email me a [email protected] and I might be able to give you more details on your problem. Good Luck.

SOURCE: cable box remote doesn't work when tv is turned on.

I am having this same problem with our Mitsubishi LCD Flat Panel TV, Model LT-46246 ans our Scientific Atlanta remote cable box, same model as yours. We cannot use the remote at all to change the channel. I called Mitsubishi and they said they have never heard of this. I find this incredibly hard to believe. Time Warner, our cable provider says that it is not the box because it works when not hooked up to the TV. What a pain. I would love to hear if anyone else is having this problem or has a fix for it.

SOURCE: No Picture on Toshiba 42RV530U

I had a similar problem to this yesterday. Tv is same Toshiba model as you mentioned about 4 months old. In my case, after the TV working perfectly following installation, the standby LED on the front (the one that is red on standby and green when on) went to a flashing orange (after switching on from standby) and the picture disappeared although the sound remained OK. I was unable to get any response from the setup or menu on the remote, otherwise I would have tried resetting the TV. Regardless of how much switching off/on (including disconnecting the powerlead and leaving for few minutes), disconnecting all peripherals, etc., nothing helped. I looked up Toshiba's web site and under support they basically suggest switching off the TV and restarting using the onset buttons (not the remote) and pressing the menu button (again the one on the set (not the remote) and if you could get the menu box to appear then reset to default settings. I tried this but the results were the same. I therefore thought the TV was defective. However, after much frustration I did the following (I think): 1) Disconnect everything from the TV 2) Powered up from the mains switch whilst keeping BOTH the startup and menu buttons on the side of the TV pressed down. The result in my case was that the standby led and one of the two beside it flashed green simultaneously. However, when the buttons were released, the TV started up the same (flashing LED orange and sound no picture). 3) Pretty well defeated at this point, after doing the procedure at (2) several times with the same results, I somehow thought of pressing the standby button on the remote either whilst the two buttons on the set were depressed or just after they were released. I am afraid I cannot remember which and cannot replicate the problem as I don't know what caused it in the first place. 4) The TV then started normally ( no reception as I had not aerial connected, etc.,) but I was able to gain access to the screen menu/setup buttons via the remote which were in French rather than English. However, after reconnecting everyrthing the TV has worked fine (obviously after resetting the language via the menu). I am sorry I cannot be more precise but I hope this might be of help to someone with a similar problem.

I have a SONY KF-WE50 rear projection tv, a few weeks ago it started to turn the pic and sound off while the green light was flashing around 30 times. After the light finished flashing both the picture and...

the green is the reboot process and is normal.
the red light is an error code indicator.
count the blinks of the red light...it cant be 30 times (I think)
it will blink a sequence, pause, then do it again for a total of three times.
count carefully, it gives you three chances to catch the number it is blinking.

Tv turns on w/pic then pic dissapears light blinks 4 times

I have the same issue, we've had to change our bulb three times in less than two years. now we have 61" expensive paper weight. Our current bulb is less than 6 months old. The TV is only 2 years old and like i said this is our third bulb.

the blue light blinks 4 times. you get sound. then a few minutes the the picture returns... then it goes out, and the cycle goes on.

A solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

Flashing green light

Did you try this yet

SYSTEM RESET
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control
or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off,
press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item
like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off
and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one
minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may
turn on the TV again. Changes you made the last time
the TV was On before you used the SYSTEM RESET
button may be lost, however, the changes you made
previously are not lost.
POWER/TIMER Indicator
The green light is a multi-function indicator. This light
will flash rapidly for about one minute each time the TV
is plugged into the wall electrical outlet, when power
is restored after a power failure, or using the SYSTEM
RESET button. Do not attempt to turn on the TV again
during this period. Wait for the flashing to stop and
the light to turn off, before attempting to turn the TV
on. While the TV is powered on, the light illuminates
steadily. If the TV has been programmed to turn on
automatically using the Timer feature,

WS-55517 Mitsubishi Rear HDTV projection tv will not turn on

2 blinks followed by 1 blink is the X-Ray protection-----means some problem in the High voltage circuit ---set produces over 25 thousand volts to fire the 3 picture tubes inside up----It could be excessive high voltage-------I think you would have to get lucky for someone to find and fix it in your home----more likely it will need a visit to a Repair shop.

Red Light Flashing 6 times

When the lamp fails in this unit, often the thermal fuse opens. The error code is 6 blinks. To replace this part requires a great deal of deal of disassembly.
