Tv turns on w/pic then pic dissapears light blinks 4 times
I have the same issue, we've had to change our bulb three times in less than two years. now we have 61" expensive paper weight. Our current bulb is less than 6 months old. The TV is only 2 years old and like i said this is our third bulb.
the blue light blinks 4 times. you get sound. then a few minutes the the picture returns... then it goes out, and the cycle goes on.
A solution to this would be greatly appreciated.
50" RCA DLP color wheel replacement procedure
Mine started to howl last year, I sprayed out the motor using carb cleaner / lubricant. Its been running fine for over a year since.
My guess is, the bushing gets plugged with dust particals. If you catch it as soon as it starts to squeek, the carb cleaner trick may work for you too.
Lost picture but sound is on
almost certain this is a lamp problem, bulbs blow up
if you remove the lamp you can see if the bulb is broken inside.

Have multiple white spots projected
You have a faulty DMD module. It has millions of microscopic mirrors that are responsible for reflecting light onto the color wheel and produce an image. A common problem on projection tvs and the only solution is to replace the DMD module. The part costs around 300$ and is a DIY repair if you have prior experience in electronics as you have to slide out the chassis to replace it hence you should know what not to touch. A service manual should be off mighty help for this repair so I will check if I have one for this model.
