Washer won't drain or spin...makes a humming noise when its supposed to be spinning..tried taking out half the load, but didn't help...sometimes have to wait awhile for it to work properly
where are the 3 screws to open up the filter pump?
I think you have something in the pump.. you should have two or three screws at the front bottom panel remove the screws and pull down the panel, there should be a clean out with a filter just turn it clockwise. Make sure you have a bucket and towels ready to mop up the water. If there is no clean out or nothing in the hose you will have may have to undue the hose that goes to the pump and seperate the pump by unscrewing it and clean it out. let me know if this helps.krazytech

this can be a motor control fault, and sometimes a fault with the motor itself, test motor windings for equal resistance, and check motor physically for wear / damage. replace motor controller.
Hello sismurphy1 - Does the washer make a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. If it does not, then the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with a faulty pump, timer, door lock assembly or control board. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

Hello Dorothy - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, there may be a restriction in the drain line or siphoning.Otherwise since it is such a complex unit I would recommend contacting a professional to have either the pump or timer diagnose.
If the unit will not spin at all and makes a humming noise, sounds like something has seized up in the back of the unit. This could be a belt broken, motor seized up, or the transmission, if your unit has one, is gone.
