How do I clear H-04 code on Sharp SF 2040 copier?

    Thanks Guru,



    I am an ex copier tech. I am having trouble remembering the correct sequence for accessing service mode. I think it's c i o i for the 2040 but I just can't remember...I know the reset is #14. Sometimes thermistors "glitch" when they are getting old and you can reset them and it will work ok for a little while.

An error code of H4 indicates a problem with the heating circuit for the fuser, such as a bad heat lamp.You will have to call a copier technician.Good Luck

You have a fuser code caused by the machine not warming properly.
Before you call someone try this.
Press P * C * or # * C * on the machine consol. Then enter the number 14 as if making 14 copies. Then follow what it tells you to do. Some you just press the start button to clear it, some you press 1 then press start.

Our nonprofit got a sharp sf-2040 donated. It prints a too light of a copy. I tried to replace toner it was full. No keys or directions light up - does it need a new drum or something.....??
There are several solutions to this problem:
1. Adjust the exposure
2. The drum may be out.
3. The developer may be out.
4. Finally, You may need a PM for the copier. (replace the drum, developer, drum blade)

How can apply code at sharp 5316
Try pressing the Clear button, then the auto button, then the clear button, followed by the auto button. Screen will go blank enter code 24 press the green button press 04 and the green button.
