Message problems ive had razr since jan 07, today im getting no sms txts and cant send any. can call and recieve calls and can send picture messages ok. any ideas?

for sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it


this solves your messaging problem ...

You need new setting for the picture messaging service.
Most operators use different setting for PAYG and Contray customers because of they billing (PAYG needs to use a different server to check you have credit before sending whilst contract will send then add the charge to your bill)

Multimedia Message Service or MMS settings for your mobile needs to be downloaded from your Network service Provider in order for you to send/receive Picture messages....Contact them by SMS to automatically send you the settings for your specific model phone.

you need to check that the SMS centre number is stored in your phones SMS settings (you can get different mobile provider service number by searching the net) If you cant enter it, then get a different SIM card, the same provider as yours, put it in your cookie and send a message. Then put your SIm back in, and you should be able to send messages.

Should have your companies settings and should have a red check if activated.

Hey check your network ..balance and also important sms message center number confirm that with the original from your network provider and do as per the required

go to settings ---> call barring ---> then click on Data calls ----> cancel .

this should enable sms send and recieve.

Most likely, your provider did not activate the text messaging for sending. The phone company has to activate the features to allow usage.

Hi,
I think that there is s problem with the phone's firmware. You should update/reflash your phone's firmware with NSU (Nokia Software Updater). Good luck!
