I can recieve text messages, but i am unable to send text message

My phone is a motorola razr v3. I am able to make and recieve all calls. however i cannot send text messages.

Hi I have the same phone unlocked motorola razr and was able to text fine since owning. All of a sudden I am able to receive text messages, but am unable to send messages at all. I get the failure:unable to send alert every time. I have tried powering the phone off and back on, but this does not work. Where is call barring located in the settings menu anasmaq?

Go to settings ---> call barring ---> then click on Data calls ----> cancel .

this should enable sms send and recieve.

Icant send text messages but i can recieve them

hi there,
call the customer service of your service provider ( AT&T,Vodafone,Verizon etc)....they will set up message center number on your phone , the one that you have might be incorrect...your mobile operator will send you sim updates that will refresh the settings ....and then you will get the text message options

I can text , and recieve texts , but cannot send pic texts or forward pic texts ?? but can recieve them

Make sure you are following all the steps, because picture message looks the same as text but has one extra menu for adding the image itself. Watch the steps at http://www.HandBookLive.com under Electronics->Cellphones category click on Motorola RAZR video. Chapter 14, called "Send pictures to your friends"

Cant send or recieve Text messages.

i have one but it mite not work
try
pressing menu key
go to messages
press the button inbetween the soft keys up top
scroll to message setup
then go to where it says "Use GPRS" and change it to no
It worked for me.

You cannot send a file as a text message you'd have to send it as an MMS message

I have a razr v3 (older version) I cannot download, or send text. I can recieve text messages, but when I try to reply, it says "unable to send". I used to can send texts. And I also cannot delete the...

I don't think that there really is anything you can do. From what your saying it sounds like your phone is completly shelled out. Sorry.. I recommend getting a new one!

Can't send any text messages

CAll your service provider. It may not be configured right at their end. I jusy got my son a new phone for Chritmas and we had to call the provider three times before they got it right.
