Press the RESET button when the Clarion NX706 is turned OFF;Use a Multi-meter and test the yellow and red wire. Make sure always available +12VDC is measured on the yellow wire; meaning +12VDC is measured even when car is off. Test switched +12VDC on the red wire; meaning +12VDC is measure only when the key is turned to acc.
As part of the testing process: test for +12VDC on the blue/white wire when attempting to turn on the Clarion; test for +12VDC on the blue wire as well.
i hAVE the same exact issue and the 4 digit password to unlock it is the last 4 numbers the HINO trucks V.I.N... they say u only get 3 tries and it locks it and the only way to unlock it is to contact clarion... lick my balls clarion the default password is 0000 and u get 3 tries but just disconnect the power and reconnect the power and BAM... you will be asked to enter a security code all over again...0000 that is your unlock code.
as for the start- up HINO screen... good luck. its called a splash screen and you would have to hack clarions firmware in order to do so and i suppose if you were able to locate the internal hard drive but even then. clarion invested billions to protect their operation systems in their devices. i think the image is burned into the chip where the head unit was sent from a hino dealer brand new in a box directly to clarion's I.T. to have changed cause it comes factory as a clarion boot screen.
you will also notice that the hint clarion nx501 wiring harness is altered so to make work in that truck that only comes with two front speakers.... the rear speaker leads are nowhere to be found; GONE like a new brides panties!.. you also won't have any rya leads ect.. gay gay situation and if u figure out the splash screen change let me know.
The DVD players are usually installed by the automotive manufacturer, and are tied into the car's stereo system. It project audio into the car's speakers. aftermarket car dvd units also can tie into the car's speaker systems, but may have their own independent speakers. A lot of units come with the wired or wireless headphones, so you can watch a DVD in the backseat, without disturbing others. More information www.justcardvd.com
Here is a good Amp for your Clarion subs, , remember Clarion subs cant handle too much power, clarion is more of a radio and speaker company, Subs are not really their market. Go easy with them :Here is a link with the amp and price I recommend :
try to unplug each speaker one by one while playing it. There can be a defective speaker that grounds out at the speaker terminal or internally causing the amp to go into protection causing all the speakers to go out.
make sure the speaker wires in the car do not have one side grounded.the output on the clarion is a floating output and cannot be grounded.the best solution is to look at the wiring on each of the speakers, and match them out to the ones on the clarion.the most common colr code is white front left, gray front right green rear left and purple rear right.each speaker has a plus and minus.mixing them up will result in the speakers being out of phase and result in poor bass performance.i would wire the wires directly to the clarion using crimp connectors.the first thing i would do is power up the stereo out of the car to 12 volts, and using a speaker make sure you have sound coming out.the yellow wire which is the clock/memory is a must to be connected to constant 12 volts or no sound can result
The RED from the clarion wire must be hooked up to a switched power source ... that was wired to your old radio, then press the reset switch, and it should then turn on.
Disconnect all the speaker wires from the amplifier that runs the 6-speaker system. Switch off the amplifier or disconnect the remote turn-on wire, then re-connect it. Does the power light still flash with no speakers connected? If so, your amplifier is probably damaged. If not, then connect one speaker and see if it plays. If it doesn't, disconnect the first speaker and connect a different one. If the first speaker plays, continue connecting the rest of the speakers until you find the one that's causing the problem.
