SOURCE: Konica Minolta Magicolor 2400W drum cartrige-how to replace?

Did you buy a whole new drum unit, or just change the cartridge? If so, the fuse may still be blown. Also, you may need to empty the spent toner out of the old cartridge.

SOURCE: magicolor 2530 DL Laser Printer: reset image drum 2530...

I had this same problem however I was using the Magecolor 7450. I was trying to print a C5 postcard and the right hand side of the document was getting cutoff (aprox 2 in). Changing my Paper-Type settings on the printer from "Postcard" to "Any" magically fixed the problem.

I hate this printer.....

0092 error

CAUSE: The transfer belt is not rotating correctly inside of the Image Unit.

SOLUTION: Check the PRCB connector for proper connection and correct as necessary. Also, check Belt Positioning Sensor (PS6). Replace Image Unit (p/n A0VU011). The PRCB may also need to be replaced. (p/n A034 H001 06 for magicolor 1650EN or p/n A034 H009 07 for magicolor 1680MF/1690MF)

Fading copies

Hi

If you have stock toner for very long time, I suggest you just shake it well to distribute evenly the toner powder.

If this solution doesn't help, roller drum inside the copier that might worn out and needs replacement.

I hope it helps you.

A new Drum-Unit doesn't work

You need to reset the "drum count" - this is normally a combination of buttons that you have to press when you have replaced the drum.

Have a Magicolor 2430 DL. Getting message "drum low". Does this mean I have to replace the imaging drum or something else?

Most all replaceable parts on MagiColor printers are literally scheduled to be replaced after a certain number of pages printed using them. Officially, this is to ensure print quality remains sufficient. Unofficially, it's just another way to **** money from your wallet.

That being said, there is likely a fuse somewhere on the OPC drum unit that, when replaced, will reset the page count for that unit. Once the page count is reset, the fuse is blown, and counting resumes.

Examine the unit for large, silver, metal contacts. The fuse will be underneath those (or very nearby). Either replace the fuse or temporarily short the contacts. If you short the contacts, turn the printer on, verify the printer "thinks" the drum unit has been replaced, turn back off, and remove the short circuit.
