I got this information from Sprint directly. I had your EXACT same problem. These are the directions they gave me and you may have to repeat the process several times before it works, but I guarntee it works!! Ok. turn off the phone, take out battery, replace battery, hold the U button on the keypad, then hold power till the phone turns on, then release u, then power, you should see the samsung symbol first and then if it works, it will go to a white screen, (try this as many times as it takes) Now, using the volume button on the side of the phone press down until you get to the wipe data factory reset, press enter on keypad, use volume again to select yes delete all user data by pressing down, hit enter again, let it work, hit enter again, and you're all set!! UNLOCKED COMPLETELY from that dreaded password that has locked you out, now enjoy your new phone!
On many mobile phones, you only have two options for deleting text messages: deleting one message at a time, or deleting a whole folder at a time. However, the Samsung Intensity (among other phones) gives you the option to delete multiple text messages at once without deleting an entire folder. You just have to know how to do it.
Go into the Messaging menu, either by pressing the upper left option button or by going into the main menu and selecting Messaging (option #2). Select your inbox, then press the upper right option button (Options). Select #9, Msgs View by Contact. The text messages in your inbox are now grouped according to who sent them.
From this view, you can delete multiple text messages at once. Press the upper right option button again and select choice #2, Erase Multiple. Now as your messages are displayed, there is an empty box next to each one. Scroll down through the list and select the messages you want to delete by pressing the center of the directional pad. A check will appear next to that message. To uncheck a message, repeat the same process.
The only messages you won't be able to delete are messages that you've previously marked as locked. If you want to delete a locked message, you'll have to unlock it first, then delete it.
Once you've put a check next to all of the messages that you want to delete, click the upper left option button (Done) and you'll see a confirmation message. Choose whether you want to delete all of the checked messages or only the unread ones, and then click the directional button (OK). The messages you selected will be deleted.
To resume having your messages displayed in chronological order, click the upper right option button and choose option #4, Msgs View by Time.
If your phone is Nokia then all you need to do is press the # key on keypad to view the _Abc, 123, _ABC (with a pencil) display on top left , for non predictive mode to be active the display has to be like this -----> Abc (without a pencil)
Maybe you need to program the phone . Here I'll tell you how :
Press the Down main navigation button and press Menu/OK. The
main navigation button is in the center of the keypad and is cylindrical
in shape.
Press either the Up or Down main navigation button until "New
Entry" appears on the display.
Press the Menu/OK button and "Enter Name" will appear on the
display.
Enter the name using the keypad. Enter the names the same way
you would enter text in a text message on a mobile phone. For example,
to enter the character "H," press the 4 digit twice. Use the labeling on
the buttons to guide you.
Press the Menu/OK button after entering the name and "Enter
Number" will appear on the display. Enter the phone number using the
keypad.
Press the Up or Down navigation button to select "Save" or
"Go Back" and then press Menu/OK. The entry is now programmed. Press the
goodbye button; it's the button with the phone icon on a cradle.
Press the Down navigation button and the first alphabetical
number is displayed. If you keep holding the button, the phone will
scroll through your phone book alphabetically.
Press the button with the phone icon on it (not the goodbye
button) to dial the number associated with the phone book entry.
Pretty frustrating, huh? Especially with the wait time after you press each button. You'll be surprised at the solution.
I searched the manual, looked at all the options in the phone, searched the internet, and called tech support and talked to the guy for 20 minutes, all without any help.
I mentioned it one day to my receptionist. She took the phone, slid it open, and the keys were immediately ready for use. It's a shame Samsung never bothers to tell us about that. Or in the case of the tech support guy, don't even know.
It turns out to be a nice feature, and now whenever it asks me if I want to lock the keyboard, I say yes. I don't have to worry about starting a call if the phone is in my pocket and I move the wrong way. When I do want to use it, I just slide it open and get to work.
Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 UNLOCKING YOUR KEYPAD theirs a button that you slide up and down. ... (you may try to push it but it wont work... you need to slide the button.) I had to go to my sprint store to figure this out.. :)
This is due to the base unit losing power and needs the clock resetting.
The handsets retain their clocks under battery power so this is a little misleading.
To reset the base unit clock:
- press the OK key
- press the 'down' arrow twice until "DATE/TIME" is displayed.
- press the OK key again, this will display the year. Enter the correct
year on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK. (Only the last
two digits of the year need to be entered).
- The date is then displayed in MM/YY format, enter the correct date on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK.
- The time is then displayed, enter rhe correct time on the handset numeric keypad and press OK.
- The handset then beeps and displays "SAVED".
- Press the "C" button and replace the handset on the base unit.
