Why does my maytag plus refrigerator have constant humming

these tipe of units have an electronic board that controls basicly everything thats your problem you need to replace the electronic board. some times a temperature sensor wired to the elect. board fails but most of the time the board is the problem

Happens when the bearings in the fan or compressor motor are getting worn out. make sure there isn't a piece of cardboard cowling or debris hitting the fan.

The compressor in your refig is bad. whats happening is when you let the compressor cool down it will run for a while then it starts binding internally until it gets to the point of humming and clicking. only repair is replacing the compressor. sorry for the bad news...

humming because it doesn't know the words . ha-ha-- ok the compressor is trying to start but doesn't then it cools down and try's again . so replace the start relay kit . and this will solve the problem .. located on the side of compressor .. pART # 67005560 .. HOPE THIS HELPED MM FEED BACK PLS ..

Hello, the solution was the ASM control circuit board, ordered one online for around $100 and replaced it

if you evap fan is not working this wouldnt produce any coldness,, or possibly it sounds like your compressor start realy is tryin to start but not working,,,

you hear a constant running water sound? look in your manual under "normal operating sounds". it explains all of the sounds. it sounds like you're hearing the refrigerant going thru your evap. coil located behind the rear frzr panel. you unit goes into the defrost cycle roughly every 8hrs and water drip down into the condensate pan un the refrig.

Hi, It is the evaporator fan motor you are hearing. The motor is the only thing that shuts off when the door is open. The fan motor is located behond the rear panel inside the freezer sections.
