Maytag MZD2752G Side by Side Refrigerator Questions & Answers
Maytag Wide by Side (5 years old) Freezing Refrigerator & Freezer
There is 2 things you can replaced to rectify this problem .
1 is the defrost timer and the next is the thermostat.
On the thermostat is a metal rod that is connected to a vent so when you adjust it it open or closes the vent .Just make sure that is not loose because if it's loose even though you turn thermostat down the vent would be wide open allowing freezing air to get into refrigerator.
Water is frozen at the bottom of the freezer.
The drain is clogged in the freezer at back there is a small drain hole it needs to be cleaned use hot water and a Turkey blaster till flows you may also have to pl back cover off and clean tube
Refrigerator side quits cooling and freezer still
That sounds like a broken defrost heater or defrost heater thermostat. If you see front on the back service panel then that is a good indication the evaporator is plugged up like a chunk of ice. Unplug the ice box and let it thaw out. Do not take an ice pick to that evaporator! Let her thaw out naturally.
It takes about 2 weeks foce to build up to a blocked state. I have photos
This is what a normal evaporator looks like
This is abnormal

Water dispenser not working
check the inlet line to the fridge and this is good then fault can be either choking within the pipe line or tubing or a failure of the dispensing valve. If you can check if there is power to the valve when the button is activated it will confirm the case. If there is no power the fault is with the control panel and it must be removed to confirm
I have a Maytag Refrigerator
First thing is to remove the ice from the freezer floor. After that rermove the lovxer basket and directly behind that you will see more ice below the freezer back wall. The problem you have is a cogged drain line. Remove the remaining ice there and located the drain hole, which is normally located in the center of the trough you see. On some models you may have to remove the back wall as well to get to it. After located the drain hole, thaw it out using hot water, a hair dryer, or carefully using a screw driver to tap into it to remove the ice blockage. Once you can freely pour water down the drain hole, you'll be good to go. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at

I have Maytag refrigerator model MZD2752GR.
There is no one solution to this. It come from a variety of ways. For example a crack in the defrost condensate pan. Or a leak in a water supply line. The way you described it is almost on a cycle basis so I believe it is more of the leaking condensate problem. I would like you to look inside the freezer and fresh food section bottom near crisper and look for condensate buildup inside these areas condensate in freezer would appear as too much frost on items in freezer and fresh food compartment like moisture collecting on walls and shelves. Do that and let me know what you see. Pull front kick plate in front off and pull away from wall. Remove rear cover on compressor area. I will return soon, Thanks, Sea Breeze
How do I check the heater under the evaporator in
I am sending the manual and on page 45 at top of page ans section 2-17 tells you the way to change or test the defrost controls. All refrigerators that have auto defrost begin with cotrol/timer/adaptive defrost or Adaptive Defrost made into motherboard, Then you have the defrost heater and defrost thermostat. When looking over your manual you may see things that are not on you model. That is normal or we would have a manual for every difference.
Side by wide maytag icing up in freezer.
the freezer has a heating element to keep it "frost free". if its freezing up, then either your heating element is defective or the thermostat is bad, or sometimes both. suggest that you get a appliance repair book if your not familiar with working on appliances. the job is not that difficult if you know what to look for and how to test it. good luck.
Fridge side warm but the freezer side cold
