A clean installation it is recommended to this service at least once every 8 months, it wipes all your hard drive from data, programs, bugs, errors and viruses this will 100% solve your problem guaranteed. for xp, insert the xp installation disk restart the computer and a message will come up asking to press any key to boot from cd. once you do that "i mean you press a key" then a blue screen will load then asks you to press Enter to install xp. 1. press enter 2. select the partion and press enter 3. select continue "it warns you to delete files" 4. select format "quick" 5. now let it do the rest and follow instructions 6. when the installation is finished you'll notice its like new again, some computers will need drivers which you can get from manufacturer website. download and install them. that's it but for a detailed information click here

To get rid of the virus and set it back "just as you bought it", reformat the hard drive and install a new operating system with your recovery or operating system disc. If you use the built in quick recovery system, the virus will remain, and continue to cause damage to the system.
