you update it by looking on the little booklet that came with it, it should be a number you call then you ask to update.it...or go to the website located on the back of the box.
There are many forums online that have insturctions for "unlocking" gps devices and allowing you to choose which software to install. If finedrive does not have an update - other software might. austech, gpsu etc
you can do a free software update through www.garmin.com, by checking the version of your software on your device and compare it with the latest version on website.
note. if it needs update, download the file and it will automatically detect your device and update it.
If you have a nuvi 350 download the software to your computer and then load the software onto a formatted sd card. Insert the sd card and bootup the Nuvi 350. The sofware will then load onto the Nuvi 350. If you have a Nuvi 200 I would think it works the same but I have not tried it.

mumbo jumbo....use the webupdater, check the firmware and voice/text you need, the web updater will download them to the nuvi, when downloaded webupdater will tell you, unplug the nuvi and wait patiently for it to reboot about twice....finished.
When you say "upgrade" I believe you mean "update," such as updating maps and software for the GPS. If so, you will need to download Garmin's WebUpdater software and run the software to get updates and install them in the GPS. You can find the download link and instructions for using WebUpdater by going to: http://www8.garmin.com/products/webupdater.
These guys come preinstalled with Tele Atlas map, but for some reason I can't find any support for downloads for the maps to Telefunken GPS on their site. Best bet is to contact customer service directly at +31 20 582 94 91 or you can submit your question directly to customer support here.
