My yahoo account has been hacked and now I can't log on

Good Day Jessica!

I am sorry to hear that your Yahoo Mail account has been hacked. T

You can try two procedures that might help you recover your Yahoo Mail account.

1. If you are lucky, and the hacker have not changed your security questions and answers,
you can go to
https://edit.yahoo.com/forgot?stage=fe100&src=ym&intl=us&done=http://mail.yahoo.com&partner=
Follow the on screen procedure, it will verify your identity, at the end you might get lucky again to reset the password.

2. If the hacker manage to change the secret answers to your secret questions, then, there is no way to recover that account unless you co
ntact directly the Yahoo support team.
Create a new Yahoo Mail account. Using your new mail account, write an email to
[email protected]
Tell them the story about your problem and your interest to get your Yahoo Mail Account back.
They will response to your immediately and ask for some verification regarding the information you enter when you first created the account.

Or, you can contact their Account Security department for your account verification.
Account Verification department can be reached at:
866-850-4303
TTY 866-438-1601
The Account Verification team is available between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.

Please be aware that you will be asked for all of your verification information before they can offer assistance.

If there is anything that I can provide to you to help you further, just leave a comment.

You can comeback later and give my answers your four thumbs up rating.

problem solved.

Make sure your logged on in a computer administrator account(not limited access like guest account), and then make sure all other accounts are logged off. If it worked it will ask to restart the computer. When the computer reboots the keyboard etc should work.

As i switch on the computer it loads and takes me to the user selecting screen and once when i click on any one of the user it gets high lighted and gets logged out automatically and comes back to the user...

as the computer is loading press F* repeatedly until you reach a black sceen with options you need to highlight option safe mode, once on the safe mode logon screen choose administrator, this logs you to the main user, this is where you can change user acounts who log onto the mechine, goto control panel and left click on user acounts, in here remove all acount passwords and click on change the way user log on or off and uncheck each section and reboot the mechine, hopefully you will have a diferent log on screen just log in with your user name and password and you should avoid the rebooting. hope this helps and post back if it is still the same.

I haev an administrative account and a limitted account for my son. I forgot the password to the admin account so what should I do? i have restrictions on my sons so how can i get back into the admin...

This is for XP.....

Password reset on XP

1)
1. Place your Windows XP CD in your cd-rom and start your computer (it’s assumed here that your XP CD is bootable – as it should be - and that you have your bios set to boot from CD)
2. Keep your eye on the screen messages for booting to your cd Typically, it will be “Press any key to boot from cd”
3. Once you get in, the first screen will indicate that Setup is inspecting your system and loading files.

4. When you get to the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to Setup Windows now
5. The Licensing Agreement comes next - Press F8 to accept it.
6. The next screen is the Setup screen which gives you the option to do a Repair.

It should read something like “If one of the following Windows XP installations is damaged, Setup can try to repair it”
Use the up and down arrow keys to select your XP installation (if you only have one, it should already be selected) and press R to begin the Repair process.

7. Let the Repair run. Setup will now check your disks and then start
copying files which can take several minutes.
8. Shortly after the Copying Files stage, you will be required to reboot. (this will happen automatically – you will see a progress bar stating “Your computer will reboot in 15 seconds”
9. During the reboot, do not make the mistake of “pressing any key” to boot from the CD again! Setup will resume automatically with the standard billboard screens and you will notice Installing Windows is highlighted.
10. Keep your eye on the lower left hand side of the screen and when you see the Installing Devices progress bar, press SHIFT + F10. This is the
security hole! A command console will now open up giving you the potential for wide access to your system.
11.
At the prompt, type NUSRMGR.CPL and press Enter. You have just gained graphical access to your User Accounts in the Control Panel.
12. Now simply pick the account you need to change and remove or change your
password as you prefer. If you want to log on without having to enter your new password, you can type control userpasswords2 at the prompt and choose to log on without being asked for password. After you’ve made your changes close the windows, exit the command box and continue on with the Repair (have your Product key handy).
