Was putting on a wall mount and a screw broke off in the tv.

First of all find out what size mount is on the TV. On the back of the TV you should see 4 screw holes to take the bolts of the stand. You can measure the space between the holes. Then you can search for a mount that will take that size. If the TV is big you will need a very strong wall mount.
When you get the mount it should have instructions for mounting it. But make certain the wall you are fixing it to can take the weight and is stable. Fix the mount to the wall, make certain that you use the correct screws and plugs for the screws. You should be able to tell if the mount is secure enough. If you have any doubts, get somebody in to do it. The mount will come with the correct fixing screws for the TV. You will need two people at least to fix a smaller TV to the wall and two people to hold a big TV while a third screws the mount to the TV.

Put tv on bed face down and look at the stand and locate and remove any and all screws holding stand to the flat screen set. Then after mounting the wall plate per instructions mount the tv to wall mounting.

HI, if the problem started straight after the wall mount i would imagine the screws holding your wall mount bracket to your tv are the incorrect ones and will be too long ! this could cause all manner of problems ,on the back of your tv there will be numbers by each mounting hole you can safely use ,these will usually have 8mm or similar written in the plastic ,so use no screws longer than what it states or the tv can break down easily ,check the screws holding your tv mount on ,hopefully it will come right if you put the correct screws in. Place the TV face down on cushioning. There are four short hex head screws that hold the TV to the stand. There are two on each side of the mounting point (close to the bottom of the TV). (Turn counter-clockwise to loosen.) Next slide the base down from the bottom of the TV. The appropriate sized hex key was supplied with the TV (and the base was installed). If you want to, you can unscrew the support post from the base - it has 4 long hex head screws. This will let you put the base parts into an appropriate container for storage.

To put on the wall mount, you will need to remove the covers from the 4 mounting locations on the back of the TV and use the screws from the wall mount bracket kit.

the wall mount should have came with the proper screws to fit the back of your tv, if the screws fit the mounting holes on your wall mount, fit the larger screws that came with your tv through and make sure its tight, if so it should work.

any hardware store will have them bring your tv manual with you it will tell you the spec on the screw to connect to the 4 pre existing nuts on the back of the tv as far as from the mount to wall it will be a standard lag bolt small enough to fit threw the hole and long enough to go threw the drywall and about an inch and a half of the studd 2" to 2 1/2" inch lag bolt will work

it can be mounted, they sell a universal hanging kit, you will see 4 holes in the back of the tv, thats where you put the screws for the mount
