Have you ried to reset the ice maker? Also how cold is it in the freezer? if its not cold enough the ice maker will not work at all. Also check to see if the fill tube oin the maker is frozen up and not letting the water get into the maker the way it should. Please wait unitl yoiur problem is resolved before rating them rate generous for the one that had the correct answer. thanks for using FixYa

If the fill tube gets choked up with ice, (Figure S-4) it usually means that the water fill solenoid valve is leaking. The valve is not closing properly and is dribbling water. If the leakage is slow enough, water may freeze in the fill tube. Over time it will freeze the tube completely shut.

Kenmore ultra fresh side side 59507990

828a4e4f-c0b3-4029-a7f5-35b92db8b7ad.jpgKenmore model numbers look like this example=> 321.1234578 Are you sure that the water in the ice maker is melting and flowing down into the ice bin? What may be happening is the water control valve for the ice maker may be allowing water to continue flowing into the ice maker tray even when off due to the water control valve being defective. If your refrigerator also has a water dispenser and the water is not continuing to leak is because the water control valve has to sides. One side is for the ice maker and the other side is for the water dispenser. I am here if you have questions, Thanks Sea Breeze

Kenmore side by side: ice maker works...ice

Probably a broken plastic tube from the solenoid valve to the water outlet tube. It will stay dry until you try to get water then it may take a few days to dry out.

Good Luck,

Check the line going to the ice maker for clogging.

Kenmore refrigerator side by side ice maker not making ice.no water going to the ice maker??.

Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

We have the Kenmore 106.5703.601 side by side with an ice maker. We lost power for a whole day. The power is back, but the ice maker does not dispense ice. Water is dispensed through the door fine, and...

I think if you unplug the ice maker and remove it from the freezer to let the ice melt and dry out the Ice maker may start working again once you put it back in the refrigerator. If not we will need to check the thermostat inside the ice maker. Try that first and let me know the results. We will get it working I just need you to do this step by step until I locate the problem. But until the ice maker is dried out I cannot see if the thermostat will call for water when plugged back in. Let me know, Sea Breeze

Ice maker issue

Your icemaker could be over filling. Your fill tube into the mold could be misaligned. Check both of these issues.
