My Toshiba Satellite won't power up at all. No lights, nothing??

Out of nowhere I had it plugged in and went to move it to another room but when I plugged in the power cord nothing happens. I don't have a battery so this is the only way I have to power it up. I hope its nothing since its not mine and I also have a cd in it that won't eject. Please someone help me?

It happens all the time, laptops are known for power cords going bad. Because of the plugging un-plugging and twisting. This is a $25 solution after you have verified power from the wall and be sure the cables are secure throughout the power cord, this is 4 connections that needs to be checked.

To get your CD out of the drive this is simple if system won't power up. Get a paperclip and bend the end on the outside to a 90 degree angle. If you look on the CD/DVD there will be a pin hole, simply push the paperclip into the hole and when it stops, push harder and the drive should open manually.

Is there a power input fuse on a Toshiba Satellite C655D?

no, there is no internal fuse, unfortunately- because this sounds like a dead motherboard. the aftermarket power supply could have been over-volting, or delivering unsteady power- burning the motherboard.

OR the old power supply shorted, and blew the motherboard's power circuitry, and you were just running off battery power when you first got the replacement.

please keep in mind that, at times, the physical power input jack on laptops can also break, or come loose from the motherboard.

remove the battery pack and power source. make sure nothing is plugged into the laptop. hold down on the power button for 30 seconds. then reinstall battery, plug the the adapter into a known live power source (the real reason for your problem) and power it up!

I was working on my laptop (internet browsing), I let my room, came back 10 minutes later and my laptop was completely shut off. It will not turn back , no lights, no nothing. PLEASE HELP! Toshiba...

Unplug and take out the battery for a few.
Put battery back in, plug it back in and see if it will power back up.

My wife has a toshiba satellite L35-S2151 laptop. When she went to turn it on, the orange battery light flashes 8 times and nothing else happens. Any clue as to what is going on?

Try turning on the device with the power connected if it turns on, keep the power plugged in for the entire day. See if you will have the same problem without the power supply. If it still occurs without the power supply, you may have a bad battery, you can verify if you can get swap battery from a similar laptop.

Want turn on after it went into hibernation

your toshiba laptop adapter may go wrong, testing by insert it into an other toshiba laptop, if the toshiba laptop battery is not charged, the adapter is the issue, or if you have a multimeter, you can connect the two electroprobe with the input and output port of the adapter,if the pointer does not move, unfortunately,u should change a new adapter

NO POWER AT ALL!

Does the power supply have its own power switch?

It is located next to where the power wire plugs into the back of the PC.
