You will have to clear the CMOS. This can be done by opening the laptop and locating the jumper "CMOS". There will be 3 pins. Two of them will be jumped together, switch the jumper to the other two pins and press the power button. Then return the pin back to the original two pins and close the laptop. Your done. Login to the bois without a password.

you'll need to contact Dell support for this one. They would need to request a temp password for you to clear the existing password.

Your bad luck ... Id dell and IBM bios password is saving in a small non-volatile memory. So you cannot clear it by a jumper or CMOS battery removal. Specialized people can only do the same (contact laptop motherboard repairing vendors)

if you do not have the bios password you have to open it ..and clear bios by short the pins if you find them...or remove the bios battery for 10 seconds..and will be on factory optimal defolts

For that try password as "dell" or "DELL"
If it not works then you have to reset all settings of bios to factory defaults.
For that you need to open back side cover of laptop.
Open all screw in back side then remove cover then you find motherbord chipset .
Pull cmos cell from motherbord 15 minutes so all settings goes to factory defaults.

Bios password is a tricky thing. Some dell laptops have default password to reset the BIOS you may have to call there tech support to get the password. Thats M afraid is the only way out

Remove BIOS battery. Short BIOS jumper or leave the battery out for a long time(Over night,maybe) This should default the BIOS to having no pass word present.  If that doesn't work then evidently Dell has one within the BIOS . Just ask them.
