Re: E744 - NumLock flashing
Remove the battery and the ac adapter and press the power button again for a view seconds. After that connect the ac adapter first an try again if you can start your device. If you are facing the same problem again you should contact a service partner regarding a repair of your notebook.

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen
I had the same problem. When I opened the cover and looked at the platen glass I saw a translucent streak on the glass in the same location the purple stripe was appearing. Cleaned it off with glass cleaner (came off easily) and the stripe is gone.
If the notebook is not working at all now, you have to test the power supply to see if it is providing enough power to run the system. I would try to put the battery back on, let it charge for at least 12 hours, then try to turn on the system with the battery still installed on the machine. That way we can eliminate whether the power supply has sufficient voltage carrying capacity to operate the system.
If that doesnt work, then its time to call Fujitsu.
Hi, No that not normal. Turn the laptop off and remove the AC power and then the battery. Plug in AC power only and start the laptop, let it boot into the operating system and then turn it back off. Remove AC power and reinsert the battery, then plug in AC power again and look for the charge indicator LED light on the front of the laptop. If the light comes on then it's charging. If it doesn't then there is a problem with the laptop. I would recommend giving Fujitsu a call as their customer service is excellent.
Hi, Here's one way to determine the problem. Take the battery out and try to boot on AC power only, if it boots turn it back off, reinsert the battery again and try to boot. Sometimes you just have to take the battery out and plug it back in again, with others it is the battery and you have to leave then out until a replacement is bought. If it still won't boot on AC only, remove and reinsert the memory, try to boot the computer and listen for any beeps. Post back if you need further assistance.
