You may have bent the needle, replace that first.
Have you wound a new bobbin? Sometimes they wind poorly.
Check the hook race for thread "nests". (Bobbin casing)

Re: Consew 226R, Is there a way to stop the bobbins movement (anti-backlash spring?) when the machine stops?

Not sure what is causing this. Was it OK before or has ut just started doing this? Did you recently buy new bobbins?
But make sure that the bobhins you are using are flat or a little concave , whichever it is for your machine.:)

I have a Consew P1206RB and it will sew great but the bobbin thread breaks and gets caught in the Bobbin Assy, what would cause this to keep happening?

Check the bobbin tension. You might have to turn the screw on the spring that guides the thread through the bobbin. Also could be thread quality, but check the bobbin tension first.

How do I set the tension on the thread?

THREAD TENSION ADJUSTER IS A NUMBERED KNOB WHERE YOU PASS THE THREAD BETWEEN ""TENSION WHEELS"" IN
FRONT OF THE MACHINE VERY NEAR AND ABOVE WHERE YOU THREAD THE NEEDLE

I have a consew 225 I think and when I try to bring the thread up from the bobbin the thread from the needle goes down and around the bobbin to bring up the bobbin thread and catches. It will not pass

Your machine probably needs to be adjusted and timed. But make sure you clean under the bobbin area before you try again... or take it to a machine pro

Bobbin Case will not snap into housing

Insert the bobbin case without a bobbin to see if it will go all the way into the locked position. If it does, the bobbin case and basket are okay.
Check inside the bobbin basket(where the bobbin goes) and see if there is thread or lint wrapped around the spindle the bobbin case sits on. If there is, remove it. If there isn't ,then the bobbin is probably sprung and needs to be replaced.

Thread braking

Check the condition of the top pressure discs and the bobbin case tension. Check for wear in the hook - is the bobbin case seated correctly? Check the tension spring in the bobbin case. I doubt timing has anything to do with the problem. Unless the hook's picking up the top thread a little late, thereby "spearing" the thread. The hook could be catching the thread loop too late. Sounds to me like there's a parts or a small adjustment problem. You don't mention thread or needle size. That's another area of concern at times.
