The proper guide on how to replace the needle bar, please follow the steps below:
  1. Turn the machine pulley towards you to move the needle bar to its highest position,
  2. loosen the screw,
  3. holding the needle to its long groove facing left, insert all the way into the needle bar,
  4. Tighten the screw.

These machines are not user serviceable, no parts will be available to the general public. Have a trained service technician give you an estimate for repairs.

I wonder if you use a tear away interfacing if it would give it some bite. I wouldn't do too much adjusting because you do not have the training and it can really mess it up. Also, totally rethread your machine making sure that all of the guides and discs are getting the thread. Check the tension of the thread by using the flossing technique.

Feed dogs on that machine are attached with 2 screws. If you pull the stitch plate, you should be able to get access to them. The issue is when you re-install. You will need to align them so they move the material straight. In other words, it's not a simple thing to do.

Please allow a professional machine repair technician handle this repair. Look on Craigslist for a mobile service. This is a very powerful machine, and incorrect adjustments can to more harm than good. Let a trained tech make the repairs for you. Save the frustration and additional repair work when yours didn't work.

Could be a belt slipping or broken, or it could be a gear.
