Sounds like to me you either have a video processing problem or you have a powersupply issue. The only way to tell is to open set up and check the powersupply voltages and then go from there.

Let me know if you are willing to open that baby up and then we can check for correct power supply

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). power board problem

I have the same problem. Returned the TV for warranty repair and got it back still with the same problem. "Change your fuses to 16A slow" was the message from FSC service shop. (16A=3500Watts!)

I have mounted a 10A fuse directly 'between the TV and the 230V outlet so the (house) fuse does not drop.

Now my ******* TV went all black, probably the backlight.
