No sound on Toshiba Laptop

This is an issue with the driver or configuration.

Make sure you have the latest updated drivers for the device

When sound is coming from front for 5.1 system, its most probably to do with settings.Stereo mode Outputs from front speakers only. Try finding a radio button inside sound settings for 5.1 Audio system.

It is most probably found under " Speaker Configuration" Settings.

You don't need a driver for the speakers, but a driver for the sound card installed inside your computer. If the computer came with that sound card then you can find the proper driver from the manyfacturer website -> Support section.

Sound drivers need to be reinstalled sometimes after iTunes updates or video game installs.

1st you uninstall sound driver.and Install driver again.1st of all you check the sound card driver is install in the system.

• Go to the control panel
• Click on the System Icon
• Click on the Hardware Tab
• Click on the Device Manager then
• Click on the Sound, Video and Game Controller then
• See the Audio Driver is in the list.if it is available then right click on Audio driver.
• Click on Uninstall.
• After the Uninstall Restart You computer and Install driver again.
• if the problem is still exist.
• Replace the sound card or have a local tech take a look at the sound card.

it means you need to load the sound driver go to your laptop manfacture website, choose download drivers, choose your device and your operating system and dowload the audio driver and u will be fine.

Go to Control Panel - System - Device Manager - Sound, video controllers and uninstall the driver. Restart your laptop and reinstall the sound card driver. Good luck.

on the bottom right hand corner of your computer where the time is you should see a little speaker do you see it ok now click on it and there should be a little bar that you can pull up and down and there should be a button that says MUTE either its on mute or either bar was all the way down

On this page click on downloads, on the operating system pull-down menu choose Windows Vista, then in the pull-down menu next to it choose Sound.

Click on the Realtek audio driver, click on the download button and download the file to the desktop or any other location that you'll remember and then after the download, double-click on the file and let it run to install the software and then you might have to reboot after that.
