on the earth wire generaly black put ajump wire to the body and test. or check the power feed with the brake pedal on using a test light. this test will show you if it is a faulty harness wiring.

Hi, I am not familar with the 2004 Caviler; however, I can give you some suggestions on how to get this lanp/bulb replaced. First, look in the trunk. With some cars, you can access these lamps from the inside of the trunk. If access to these rear lamps this is not possible through the trunk, then look at the actual light assembly from the outside. Some cars will allow access to therse rear lampsfrom the outside by removing a few screws and then pulling out the entire light assembly. Good Luck!

both light are blinking at the same time or blinking alternatively ?
if both blinking same time, it's a fatal error.. means it could be something wrong with the carriage or board or encoder belt...
if the light blink alternatively, it means the waste ink counter need to be reset and ink pad need to be replaced.

When was the last time u replaced the lamp?

what does it say next to the blinking light for example check paper, check ink cartridge, etc.?

1 does the light on the control come on when you open the door ?
2 does the freezer light work?
3 if yes to both then...the control board (light control) is faulty

5 blinks = lamp driver (ballast) failure.

replacement is done from the back of the set, should be straight forward, keep the red ballast wires apart for best results

if a tech replaced the red tube, you have an older tv where 5 blinks is the AKB error meaning your CRTs are getting old.

there are fans inside tv need to make sure they are clean and free of dust
