SOURCE: icemake not making water

At bottom hinge of freezer is the water line to door. Undo connection in line. It may be a quick connect. To undo push in on one end flange to release, and pull out line. Put bowl under end from under refrigerator and make sure doors are closed. Now push water dispenser and see if water comes out line. If it does, the line is frozen in the door. They had some models that had air leaks in freezer door. This causes insulation to freeze and water line freezes. Push in on inside of freezer door and see if it sounds like snow crunching. If it does it's probably frozen. Also peel door seal back a bit and see if is held on by numerous screws. If it is, it may be one of them that freezes. Call GE. They may still have the program going where you get 2 new doors free. Give them your model and serial numbers.

So your not getting water from the dispenser either??? Yes the water filter can be the source of your problem. Let me know if the water is coming from the dispenser.

Have you checked to assure the long narrow hose that comes from the upper lback left corner is attached both on top and inside the water tray? This drove me nuts for 3 hours.

SOURCE: GE Monogram ZISS480DMCS Ice Maker Problem

i would first check water supply to ref. measure the resistance of coil either open or resistance. if all this is ok then exit side of line needs to be checked for water.

I have GE side x side cannot get ice to make or water thru the door I have changed ice maker and water valve also have made sure I have water to refrigerator and no frozen lines so don't know

if this box is a 2001 or newer it has a filter in water line. if this is it take filter and bypass that whole filter. also these boxs have main control located back of box and all fuctions go thru this board. If older than 2001 check icemaker were plugs in. You can force ejectors to make the ice maker run. cycle icemaker check for power at water valve. The ice maker valve is the small line

PFSF5RKZC Icemaker stopped making ice.

Most of the time is the ice maker itself that is defective. inside ice maker is an small circuit board that freezes up, if you take ice maker out and leave it overnight out to melt any ice inside the board it may work after that.

I have a GE profile TFX26PPdaWW refrigertor which has stopped making ice. The bar is down, so the icemaker is on. Every once in a while the interior arm will turn to force ice out, but nothing comes...

The place to start is at the fill tube going into icemaker...look into that and make sure its not frozen up with an ice plug. if it is, the inlet valve is bad..defrost the tube and this will give you temp service while looking for new valve..

if no ice plug , then the fill valve is bad or your icemaker. if you have water and ice..its a dual valve..One side does water and the other does ice..the ice side could be bad, but you have to replace the whole assembly...I would take a ohm meter and ohm out the coil,or run a cheater cord to it and see if it opens.(this means run 110 volts directly to coil) if you get water inside to icemaker, more than likely the icemaker module is bad, but ,I would replace complete icemaker assembly

I tested the ice maker by pouring water in it and it made ice could the selinoid be frozzen and how can I fix it

Sounds like if you put water in ice maker and it dropped ice but won't make ice on it's own then the water valve or water filter is bad. Replace filter, purge air, then check a day or two later to see if it is making ice, if not then replace water valve on back of unit where water line ties in at.

ICE MAKER NOT WORKING ,MODEL #gss25lgma ww

The problem is most likely the water control valve on the rear of your refrigerator. You can test the ice maker by filling with water and let freeze. If ice dumps then the water valve must be replaced. Your model has 3 different choices of water control valves. If the ice maker does nothing but freeze the water and not cycle or dump the ice then I would say the thermostat inside the ice maker is defective. Thanks, Sea Breeze

It stopped making ice but cold water option works fine. No clogs visible. Changed cold setting to 7 from 5. Nothing worked. just took out water filter, but can't see how that was the problem.

Put the filter back in . Pour about 1/2 cup of water into icemaker . If it dumps , then replace the water inlet valve . If it doesn't dump and the ice stays in the icemaker , replace the icemaker . Also , make sure the coils are clean of dust etc... Reset the controls back to normal or you could create water freezing in door (dispensor) .

GE Refrigerator Stoped making ice

the small pipe in side the freezer the one that supplies water to it, it builds ice in side, you can melt the ice by getting some hot water and a towel and wet the pipe with it intel ice melts , or you can unplug the frige with the door open over night.first solution is better.
