When we try and use USB device to record on our Rank Arena SV=2101SDVD it shows message "USB device too slow" Have asked at a few retailers for advice but no one seems to know???

USB is usually for viewing photos only. The USB connector is too slow for streaming video. This connection is also used for firmware upgrades when (if) the manufacturer releases them.

After you click record, click it again. The unit will display 02:00 - thisi is the default number of hours. Quickly use the arrows to go highlight the hours and change the 2 to 3 or 4 or 5 etc. Do this quickly because the display disappears in about 5 seconds.
