Test with network cable, and work backwards to ISP modem to find point of failure.

Even though we need more info to resolve the issue, I will make a guess here. My guess is that your D-Link is not configured right, (ie. not pulling the proper info from your ISP's DHCP server.

Try restarting the router and restart or repair your network connection on your pc. Secondly, try to do a "hard reset" on the router, or restore to default. Then reset your connection on the PC. Third, manually set the info on the router.

If you are wireless, you have a whole different issue.

Connect a LAN cable to the router and computer. Open your WEB Internet Explorer and your in the router's URL IP configuration address.
This will be 192.168.0.1 and the default Login = admin and the default password = (blank) just press Enter.
You can now change the default password.

I just want to set up an internal network with dlink router

To setup a network just follow the step by step guide that came with the DIR-615 router. When it comes to setting up the internet on the router wizard just select Cable or DHCP and leave the other internet settings as default.

As regards to your printer we need to know the make and model number so we could further assist you. My friend has a D-Link DIR 615 router and cannot connect to the internet. The globe on the front is flashing orange. Everything is plugged in properly and the internet was working perfectly last night.

Try to unplug the router and then replug after about ten seconds. It should reset.

I have a D Link WBR 1310 router. Is this outdated and would it solve my intermittend internet service if I should upgrade?

The d link wbr 1310 is end of life in the us as of may 1 2011. I have a dir-615 that I stopped using 2 years ago b/c of connection problems and I believe the dir-615 is newer. I think you should upgrade.

I am trying to hook up a netgear universaL WIFI INTERNET ADAPTER to my tv and it says to push the WPS button on my router and i dont know what to push

At page 6 will tell you the ports of your router, the 4 LAN ports (shaded in blue) is the connection right through your computer Lan port. The Internet port connected to your Modem, and the DC port for the power source.
