Hi, what you need to do is remove the small screws on each end of the facia panel and tip the control panel back! you will then see 2 clips one either end you need to pull on the part cloest to you they will lift out! you can now remove the whole outer casing. You will see the pump on the pump and then it is straight forward from there! If you get stuck get back to me!
Ok good start you have the covers off! Now you will see the pump attached to the motor? And the pump in front of that? You will see that there are rubber drives in between the motor and the pump? Thats what turns the pump! Check them but you will need to take off the pump....

The pump that removes water could be blocked by debris. Oftentimes rugs and even towels can shed a significant amount of lint or loose fibers that cannot pass through the pump. I have also seen socks, underwear, change, buttons, and other things I wont mention clogging a pump. Depending on the make of your machine the pump is either driven by the main motor or by its own smaller electric motor. It must be accessed by removing the washer case. the pump is usually secured by screws or clamps and connected to drain hoses by hose clamps. There is also the possibility that the pump has experienced a mechanical failure and needs to be replaced.
Does the washer spin on rinse and drain cycles ok? If it does spin but won't drain, the problem is the plasic impeller in your drain pump. This model is a direct drive unit with a reversing motor that runs one direction for agitate, but reverses to spin the tub and operate the drain pump. So if it spins but DOES NOT drain, it's the drain pump, but if it doesn't spin or drain, than it's probably a lid switch. Also the tub to pump hose or pump discharge hoses may be clogged with something. If your mechanically apt, you can do this repair yourself and save a service charge. The pump runs about 30 dollars or so and is really easy to change out. Check out Youtube videos on Whirlpool washer repairs, they will show you everything to do. Yes, I said Whirlpool, because Roper is built by Whirlpool.
Ld error indicates long drain and flashes when the
water level will not change even after the drain pump is on. To resolve this
please make sure that the drain hose is not clogged and the pump is working. To
gain access to the drain pump you can lay the machine on its front then remove
the drain hose and replace the pump if the impeller has gone bad. Please post a
comment if need more help.

Hi, Check the drain hose to make sure it hasn't dropped lower than the water level in the washer. Sometimes when working on the machine, the drain hose gets moved. Does the drain hose go into a sump pump? PLEASE let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.
