The reason you can not input this frequency, (159.2775 ) is because the synthesizer in that particular radio can not divide down to that exact frequency. Nothing is wrong, just that the electronics will not generate that particular freq. It has to do with the math and what the synthesizer can do.

Please post the model and Tanapa from the back of the radio so I can assist you further. I need that information to find the radio's bandsplit and whether it is narrowband and splinter frequency capable.

Tk-3200 displaying unlock, which component is faulty?

It may be that the freq entered or programmed into it is beyond the expected range of that radio. Need more specific details. Usually probs of this nature involve a voltage controlled oscillator whos voltage varies according to the freq. It needs to be within a certain voltage range between the lowest and highest programmed freqs....if not the unlock message appears. Look up the radio on the net and determine if you have programmed it with the freqs it was designed to operate on.... first. Is it UHF or VHF?

For some reason my motorola ht1000 wont allow me to pick up police station

1) Are you allowed to be on the Freq?
1a) if no, BUY A SCANNER!!! Having a transmitter on a law enforcement freq without permission/license WILL get you arrested
1b) If yes, take it to the radio shop for the PD and have them program it for you

2) Are they transmitting with digital encryption?
2a) If yes, you wont hear them
2b) if no, are you sure you have the right freq programmed, dont have the wrong PL installed, etc.

3) Is your radio within the freq range they are on?
3a) if no, get a SCANNER if you just want to listen.
3b) if yes, see #2 above

If you just want to listen to the cop shop and are NOT a law enforcement officer (based on you posting here I suspect you are not) then do yourself a favor and BUY A SCANNER..

Programin the codes in a bc60xlt bearcat scanner

I am not familar with that model scanner but all the uniden radios I have used have direct freq entry......Hit manual button, select what channel you wish to enter it in, hit manual again. Enter the freq desired, then hit enter. That should enter the freq in that channel space. Hit enter again to go to the next channel for programming. Hope this helps.

Scanner(POLICE) Question

Hi, using the manual button, step to channel 1 and enter your freq. including the point then press the E button. You might have to step to the next channel using the manual button again. Enter the next freq. and repeat. WX is the weather bands. Lockout is for locking out a nuisance channel(as an example, if someone's mic stays keyed, and keeps the squelch open).Priority is for any channel whose conversations you don't want to miss, just press the button for the specific channel. That way any time someone keys up on your priority channel, even if it's on another channel talking, will go right to the priority one. Review gives you a readout of the freq you programmed into a specific channel. If you need new or extra freq's check here on this site.
